Can you believe that the end of the First Trimester will be December 2nd?  We have a very busy week.  Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on November 17 – December 2.  Our teachers are looking forward to meeting with you to discuss the progress of your student.  These days are early release days.  School is out at 12:50 for grades 1 – 3 and 12:54 for grades 4-6.  Kindergarten students follow their usual schedule.

School Picture Retake Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 15th

Hmong New Year School Event!

Camellia Basic will be celebrating Hmong New Year with presentations from HUSA (Hmong University Student Association) and renown dancer, Kazoua Yang.  FAMILIES ARE INVITED to join in the festivities this Friday, November 18th, from 8:45am – 9:45am by the blacktop area.

Attendance

Attendance is important!  Please make sure your child is present at school every minute possible!  If your child has a doctor appointment, bring them to school before and/or after their appointment.  If your child is absent for 3 consecutive days or more due to illness, the district will require medical documentation for the absence to be excused

IF YOUR FAMILY IS PLANNING A VACATION DURING SCHOOL, IT MUST BE DISCUSSED AND PREARRANGED WITH THE SCHOOL.  THE ABSENCE WILL BE MARKED AS UNEXCUSED IF NO INDEPENDENT STUDY IS APPROVED.

If your child continues to have poor school attendance you may be required to meet with the school team to discuss interventions.
